Change is hard.

I know of no one who is excited about change.

Change is a huge part of life.

No one escapes change.

Most people quickly adapt to most changes in a matter of a few mins to hours.

For some people change takes time to even grasp the change.

For most people change is not a life altering item.

For some people change does alter life.

You see some people live lives steeped in routines.

Routines that keep them regulated, grounded, calm and in baseline emotionally.

Hours spent prepping for over stimulation choosing the right social masks.

For some a sudden change in plans is devastating.

Devastating only because hours were spent getting emotionally ready for the event.

Devastating only because hours were spent physically getting ready.

Lots of prep time for being on time with the correct supplies.

Then there are changes that are no big deal to most people.

Changes in the looks of an item. location of icons, layout, and themes.

For most these are no big deal when they are suddenly different,

but those same things are a big deal to the Autistic person.
